PROXIMA Team Edition, the new official wheel of the Picnic PostNL team in the WorldTour, led by athletes such as Bardet, Jakobsen, and Degenkolb.

Weighing only 1350 g in the 35 mm version, URSUS PROXIMA Team Edition offers an excellent combination of lightness, reliability, and smoothness, thanks to the exclusive U-RS Xeramik™ hub with ceramic bearings. Additionally, the innovative U-press™ system allows for quick maintenance without the need for specialized tools, ensuring complete autonomy in hub management.

The UD carbon profile, tubeless-ready with a 23 mm internal channel, guarantees aerodynamic performance and exceptional riding comfort.

Spokes

The spoke assembly, featuring a 2-cross pattern on both front and rear wheels, increases lateral stiffness and power transfer.

The 24 Sapim CX-Ray Secure Lock® spokes (straight pull) provide exceptional fatigue resistance and high aerodynamics thanks to their elliptical profile. The Secure Lock technology of the nipples prevents the loosening of spoke-nipple connections over time, eliminating the need for periodic tensioning.

U-RS Xeramik™ Hubs

The smoothness and responsiveness of URSUS PROXIMA Team Edition are guaranteed by the exclusive U-RS Xeramik™ hubs, crafted from AI 7075 aluminum alloy and equipped with ceramic bearings, ensuring durability and fluidity.

Ursus has also integrated the proprietary U-press™ system, enabling quick disassembly of the hub without the need for specialized tools, simplifying maintenance and minimizing downtime.

UDshaped™ Rim

The carbon fiber rim with UniDirectional finish comes in four profiles (35, 40, 50, 60 mm) and features an external width of 30 mm (29 mm in the 35 mm profile), with an internal channel width of 24.5 mm (wall-to-wall). It accommodates 28C tires and above, both in tubeless and traditional clincher configurations.

The URSUS minihook technology enhances tire retention, improving stability and grip in corners, while the rim profile ensures excellent aerodynamics and control, even in crosswinds.
