Alvaro’s dream, becoming a professional cyclist, seemed impossible at a certain point in his life. The work as an assistant, masseur and mechanic on different teams, watching others race and win. Then the struggle for life. A stabbing pain in his left leg and the merciless diagnosis: bone cancer called chondrosarcoma. Alvaro is forced amputation. 15 days after the operation, the decision to get back in the saddle of a bike modified for him by his brother. Today is Colombian Paralympic Champion and World Champion with URSUS WHEELS.
The Italian sprinter nicknamed “Flash”. Andrea was involved in a real Gladiatorial masterpiece in 2012, when equipped with Ursus MIURA T45 customized “Flash” wheels he won the eighteenth stage of the Giro d’ Italia from San Vito di Cadore to Vedelago, giving everything he had in the sprint against the world champion Mark Cavendish, before moving to Astana.
Man of the mythological “Breakaway Trick”, in 2015 won the first leg of the Vuelta Ciclista a Catalunya (Caella) on Ursus Wheels. The Polish former Liquigas and Cannondale goes away after 60 km of racing, manages to remain in the top three to the finish. Worthless comeback attempts by Team Sky, whose delay had risen up to 13 ’18 “after 84 km.
Talent of Italian cyclocross and road racing cycling, the young champion of the Selle Italy Guerciotti Elite has already swept the titles at the national level, gaining the international spotlight thanks to the two European bronzes in 2014 and 2015. Dalia is a road cyclist who rides for the Italian team Ale Cipollini Galassia. She has characteristics of long-distance rider-climber and in 2013 she won the Elite Italian championship. After a few years with Walter Zini’s BePink she joined YellowFluoOrange ranks and Ursus Wheels.
Roel is a Belgian professional mountain biker. Throughout his sporting career since 1993, he has won more than ten Belgian national championship titles, mounted top-five finishes at both the European and World Cup series, and claimed a total of four medals, including two golds, in men’s cross-country race at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. Paulissen also represented his nation Belgium in four editions of the Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008), where he competed in men’s mountain biking since it officially became an Olympic sport in 1996. In 2015 Roel rides with Diablo by Ursus Wheels in Torpado Factory Team.
Shelley Olds is an American racing cyclist. Olds was born and raised in Groton, Massachusetts. She studied health and human performance at Roanoke College in Virginia, and was captain of their women’s soccer team. She was introduced to cycling by her future husband after moving to California and began track racing soon afterwards. She turned professional in 2007. Shelley rode for the US in the road race at the 2012 Olympics in London. She was one of the four riders in the winning breakaway group that split from the peloton with 50 km to go, but suffered a puncture 20 km later and crossed the finish line with the peloton in seventh place.
The talent of Montebelluna is tied to the Ursus wheels by his biggest success so far,the stage victory in the Giro d’Italia on May 14, 2011 with Farnese Vini Fantini, in which Oscar beated as Finisseur Alberto Contador. Success repeated two years later at Dwars door Vlaanderen, becoming the first Italian to winner of the Belgian semi-classic.
